with a mini life update

The last time I posted on here, it was May 2026, I’d just started my online certification course in BIM (Building Information Management) and I was convinced that my writing would not slow down at all, mostly because I was already going at a super slow pace.
Was I wrong.
Though the courses in my certification weren’t difficult, they were time consuming, and time was consumed completing the course. I can say with pride that I’ve passed all the classes with flying colors and am now ready to use my new skills in Revit and 3D modeling.
Exciting stuff.
One of the great things about accomplishing something, even if it’s for my day job and not my writing, is that I now have more confidence than ever that I can finish my novel. If I can do this, I can do anything!
The goal is still to have a first draft complete before the end of 2026. It won’t be a good draft, or even a readable one, but it will be a complete one. At least, as complete as a first draft could ever be.
